Aluminum as an Alternative for Coastal Climates

Not all outdoor settings suit solid wood furniture. In coastal or high-salt-air environments, humidity and salt exposure can accelerate wear on untreated wood, which is part of why Jardina’s Irati collection instead uses aluminum frames finished with a thermal-transfer printing process that produces a wood-grain appearance on a metal structure. The Addison series adds sectionals, dining sets, and swivel-chair configurations with wood armrest accents, and the company said it has seen strong customer interest since its release.
