DOWNERS GROVE, IL, UNITED STATES, September 16, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Trossen Robotics announced that Anish Shah will become Chief Executive Officer and founder Matt Trossen will become Chief Technology Officer as the company introduces its 2026 robotics product lineup. The transition aligns technology leadership and business growth around a shared objective: making advanced robotics useful, accessible and dependable for a broader market.
As CTO, Matt Trossen will focus on technology implementation, engineering and product development. Shah will expand the growth, commercialization and partnership responsibilities he has been leading as President and Chief Operating Officer.

The 2026 product lineup connects hardware and tools across the robot-development workflow. Rivet and Workbench provide mobile and stationary platforms for two-arm manipulation. The WidowX arm family supplies the underlying manipulation hardware. Glide and Cockpit support teleoperation, in which a human operator controls a robot, while TRumi supports handheld demonstration capture.
Together with Trossen’s developer tools and evolving cloud services, the portfolio is intended to provide a more coherent path from demonstrating a task to collecting data, training and evaluating a model, and testing its behavior on real hardware. The objective is to reduce repeated integration work without requiring customers to build their applications around a single model provider.
The company’s collaboration with Stereolabs, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ouster, Inc., announced in August, reflects this approach. Integrating scene and wrist cameras into Workbench and Rivet addresses the need for consistent visual observations of both the workspace and interactions at the gripper.
Serviceability remains part of the product strategy, including field-replaceable wear components, documentation and lifetime product support. The company’s expansion toward applied automation builds on its research business, with supervised pilots and integrator feedback helping identify what must improve for broader adoption.
Experience for the next stage of growth
Shah brings 25 years of experience spanning strategy, analytics, startups and large-scale operations. His career includes McKinsey & Company, strategy leadership at SPSS through its acquisition by IBM, and helping Moderna scale its response during the COVID-19 pandemic.
At Trossen Robotics, he has been leading growth, go-to-market strategy and strategic partnerships as the company broadens its role from a hardware provider toward a platform for robotics and artificial intelligence.
